Cocktails and an eatery in one, what more could you ask?
This summer, the Smithfield area of London welcomed a new neighbourhood hangout in the means of a cocktail bar and eatery ‘The Long Lane’. The Long Lane is the brainchild of the team from The Racketeer, a contemporary cocktail bar in the Kings Cross area of the city.
The Long Lane is the newest addition to London’s hospitality scene opened by three veterans of the industry in the capital. Jack Foxcroft, Marco Torre and Tyvian Vigrass. The trio have over 60 years experience working in some of Londons most recognised and exclusive venues around the city. Some of which include Village Underground, AKA/The End and some of the cities most first class bars and restaurants such as Hawksmoor and Palomar.
The Long Lane showcases a style of 1950s Art Deco. The Long Lane has been placed in a perfect location in the city as it surrounds an area full of history whilst showing the latest innovations popping up in the area. As of late the area is now steeped in talented designers such as the Smithfield Market, adorning local and international produce. The Barbican shows the latest creations by designers, workshops, and gifts.

The design of the bar is both industrial and contemporary with exposed brick work keeping in line with The Racketeer’s signature dark blue motif.
The Long Lane houses a revolutionary cocktail and food menu including the following cocktails that aren’t to be missed:
Unfinished Fizzness: Apricot, Cynar, Citrus and Vodka
Black Spice: 100 Proof Rye Whiskey, Fernet Branca, PX Sherry & Dry Orange Curacao
The food menu at The Long Lane was founded by Babel, the team behind Yeah! Burger have created the menu that caters for everyone and everyones palette. The menu focuses on small plates inspired by the word travels of the founders which has collated into a lovely menu ready with a modern take on them.
Each dish was carefully thought out and covers all bases when it comes to flavour profiles. All dishes are created using great quality British produce. The menu includes Confit Cherry Tomato, Salsa Verde, Kerala Spiced Crab, Cashew Cheese, Crispy Cauliflower, Smoked Beef Short Rib and Roasted Chickpeas.
A zestful experience accompanied by a menu of avant-garde cocktails, this chic spot is the latest opening in Smithfield. Our nuanced design is an archive of art deco meets contemporary, and will serve as a go-to hangout for all in search of a welcoming and lively evening”, said Jack Foxcroft, Tyvian Vigrass, and Marco Torre.

“The Long Lane brings a new sense of intimacy to the London food and nightlife scene, particularly post-pandemic. A warm spot in the neighborhood where conversations will oscillate through attentive and personable service, as well as impeccable food, and drink. The Long Lane was established by experienced creatives, seeking to build a bar and eatery around classic cocktails with an unconventional twist, a stylish soundtrack and a zeal for conversation. We’re excited to bring our latest offering to the capital, as travel returns and locals are out again in the city,” continued Jack Foxcroft, Tyvian Vigrass, and Marco Torre.
Opening Times: The Long Lane is open from Wednesday to Friday, from 12pm to 12am, and Saturday from 4pm to 12am.
