From Barcelona to Ibiza these bags will boost your outfit game…
Sometimes an outfit can feel incomplete without the perfect accompanying accessories. Personally, I find that the most basic of outfits can be elevated just by adding jewellery or a bag. Sometimes if I have a bag that is more of a statement piece I will style my outfit around the bag rather than the other way around to show the bags full potential and beauty. Todays featured brand Guateque is no different and their bags are also statement pieces in themselves that deserve to be shown off in a complimentary outfit.
After searching for inspiration for summer outfits. I came across the gorgeous brand Guateque. A brand where the founders themselves still create the bags at their homes between Ibiza and Barcelona.
One of the many things I fell in love with when researching Guateque was that their bags all have interchangeable handles meaning that you can make each bag individual to your own personal style.
Guateque are making waves in the accessories market on both the mainland of Spain, the islands and beyond. The girls behind the brand inject so much love and personality into the bags. The contrast of personalities of the founders is shown in the variation of products on offer. Did we mention they are handmade? Oh yes they are even handmade what is not to love about these beautiful bags.

How does island life in Ibiza and city life in Barcelona inspire the collections?
Both Ibiza and Barcelona are an endless source of inspiration for our collections. The unique energy of Ibiza, with its bohemian and relaxed lifestyle, merges with the cosmopolitan vitality of Barcelona, creating a fantastic combination.
The colours, the landscapes, the nature and the Mediterranean essence are present in each of our bags. Ibiza and Barcelona are our eternal museum of creativity.
Why did you want to produce bags specifically?
We focus exclusively on the manufacture of handbags, so we can devote our full attention and resources to perfecting every aspect of their design, quality and functionality. We strive to create handbags that are both visually appealing and practical, ensuring that they meet our customers needs.
Where does the inspiration for each design come from?
The inspiration for each handbag comes from diverse sources. We focus on beauty and diversity. We find inspiration in nature, in vibrant colours and in our personal aesthetics and We are also inspired by our experiences and places we are passionate, such as travel, the cities and the energy of everyday life. Every handbag that we create is a fusion of all these influences. Our goal is that each handbag reflects the personality of the person who wears it, becoming it a special and meaningful piece in your closet.
Why did you start your brand?
We started our handbag brand with the idea of materialising our passion for fashion. From the beginning, we were motivated by the desire to create unique, high quality products that reflected our aesthetic vision and conveyed our creativity to the world. We were inspired by the idea of offering unique and timeless accessories. We wanted to leverage our experiences and unique perspectives to create an original and distinctive brand in the handbag market.
How important is it to showcase your personalities in the pieces?
For us, it is crucial that our brand remains true to ourselves and our style. It stems from our souls and reflects who we are, making it even more special and personal, as well as unique and exclusive. Moreover, we both possess distinct styles, which results in an even more captivating fusion of ideas. By pursuing our passion, we consistently maintain our identity, leading to the emergence of exciting and innovative concepts. We believe that this essence is what defines a brand and sets it apart from the rest.
With summer coming, do you have any new launches for the summer
months?
Until now, we used to release only one collection per year, specifically tailored for the summer season. However, this year, with our brand foundations firmly established, we are poised to deliver even more excitement. We have made the strategic decision to introduce a series of exclusive collections, including more frequent releases of captivating capsule collections. And there’s more to come this summer!
