Graduation: the fabulous indies and new products that saved my skin.

,

From the most beautiful nail art to fluttery eyelashes and the dreamiest curly blow…

After events seeming to have been a thing of the past during the countless lockdowns. The moment our graduation was approved for the go ahead I was in my element looking for an outfit, shoes, the bag and the glam.

As soon as I could I planned each step of the graduation preparation processes with my favourite independents. The City Colourist Liverpool, The Lifestyle Collective and Lashes by Alex.

Below are a breakdown of each piece of the graduation…

The Dress

The dress was something that took a few different purchases to find the right one. The dress I decided to go with in the end was by Queen Bee London and was the comfiest dress with the most beautiful seventies print all over. Adding a pop of colour under the navy cap and gown.

The Accessories

The accessories I wore for my graduation varied from last minute purchases in New Look but the main accessory of the day were the handmade earrings made by moi! For the earrings I decided on a blend of orange. baby pink and white polymer clays to compliment my chosen graduation dress.

Maybe one day a galerie de aims collection will be in the mix…

The Nails

I have loved the Lifestyle Collective ever since I started this mag and I was so excited to have an appointment with Rachel, the owner who gave me the dreamiest pre-nail manicure and made my nails super healthy before application of the nails.

I would recommend for anyone to go visit the Lifestyle Collective for your manicure and pedicure needs.

The Hair

If anyone ever needs anything hair related guaranteed to be happy with, the City Colourist Liverpool otherwise known affectionately known as Lydia. I knew I wanted a curly blow for my graduation and Lydia is my hair saviour and I knew she wouldn’t let me down and made my hair feel super light and shiny.

The Makeup

On the day of the graduation I decided to do my own makeup as I feel like I know my own face well enough and I knew how I wanted it.

I purchased some new products for the day and I am so glad I chose the ones I did.

ELF: Luminating primer putty: this product has a thick consistency but makes the base last all day and leaves the skin feeling luminescent.

Thank you to each indie that made the day of my graduation an absolute dream!
