European beauty brands you should know about (& definitely try!)

Gisou (Netherlands)

Gisou was founded in 2015 by Blogger/Influencer Negin Mirsalehi and her boyfriend Maurits Stibbe and was inspired by Negin’s family of BeeKeepers.

Gisou was created with the base and focus on the use of honey and propolis. Gisou has became a huge success and recently became available to purchase in Sephora US & Canada!

Best Selling Products:

The Gisou honey infused hair oil is one of their best selling products and rightly so! The hair oil is amazing and none greasy and can be used on dry, damp or wet hair.

The Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray is perfect for not just drying or styling hair with heat products but for spending a day in the sun, it’s sort of like an SPF for your hair!

I can’t wait to try Gisou’s extensive range of bee-based products!

Saltee (uk)

Saltee is an independent brand focusing solely on SPFs. Saltee is different to other SPF brands as it uses avocado oil as one of it’s main ingredients as it allows quick absorbency into the skin.

Best Selling Products:

‘Sea and Sun Formula’ with a very fresh scent and is packed with cucumber extract hydrates the skin whilst being protected from the sun.

Saltee has been featured in so many of the high fashion magazines and rightly so, their products glide onto the skin beautifully and I can’t wait to try more.

I love KIKO and it is a favourite of so many people, often dubbed the MAC of Italy despite being proudly affordable and high street. KIKO in my opinion make such great palettes and have such shades and pigmentation.

KIKO also always has a fabulous selection in their sale if you want to try some KIKO products.

Some of my favourite KIKO products are their nail polishes which are long lasting and give a professional gel polish effect!

I found the brand Flormar on my summer holidays to Spain and the Canary Islands. When I visited Flormar I was amazed how I’d never seen or even heard of it, and now I love it!

When I visited Flormar, I found one of their foundations to be one of the best I’ve ever used and I can’t wait to repurchase this on holiday!

The ‘Mat Touch’ Foundation is my favourite for when your skin needs a slight pick me up with slightly higher coverage. I found this foundation to give my skin a flawless finish.
